Taste
Taste explores the perceptual factors of three dimensional shapes and patterns that influence our taste.
This project explores food and design in aims to create a more fulfilling and novel experience for the single origin chocolate bars by designing unique and engaging forms in chocolate.
When you eat something you first select it with your eyes . What you see plays a significant role in determining how something will taste. We often associate things with a sharp edges like stars and angular shapes with spicy or highly carbonated products. Soft and round shapes being sweeter. With chocolate this is due to the fact that smooth round pieces of choice melt faster on the tongue.
